“ Finally stopped by Church Street Grocerteria for a sandwich since it's close to my place and I am a sandwich addict. For reference, places that I like and get sandwiches from regularly are Limoncello, Salty's, Deliboard, Rhea's, Turner's Kitchen, Wrap & Roll and Ted's. I only have gotten one sandwich here so far but am going to add it into my rotation since the whole experience was great. From the friendly staff to the yummy sandwich and reasonable prices. I got the Roast Turkey Club and it hit the spot. The bread was solid (I've noticed a lot of variation in the dutch crunch rolls around town with some being soggier/softer than I like whereas this one had that signature crunchiness to it). The sandwich held up well on the bread and I will def be going back to try more sandwiches here! ”

“ THE QUEST FOR A GOOD DELI SANDWICH IN SF HAS BEGUN. I pass by this store often (great place for chip cravings, last minute groceries, wine for housewarmings, and ice cream pints), and I finally tried the deli counter today. I ordered the falafel sandwich (more of a wrap/in a tortilla) and the veggie sandwich with avocado. Both were delicious! The veggie sandwich used the Dutch Crunch bread, which is already a win. The avocado, jalapeno, pepperocini, and mustard gave all the other veggies a punch, and everything was stacked well - the KEY to a good deli sammie. The falafel was flavorful and moist, and the hummus had a slight kick due to some hot sauce (their spicy sauce). The sandwich maker also remembered all my requests to make the sandwiches vegan! Very happy with the food for a neighborhood spot. ”

“ Wow, so glad I found this place a block away from my house! I came here one night to order a sandwich from the deli and ended up back here the day after. Their standard sandwich is $6.99 and their super sandwiches are a couple dollars more. Really fresh ingredients, generous portions, great price! Great choice for quick (and healthy) takeout. ”

“ One of my favorite go-to/corner stores ever. No, but seriously. I've visited so many corner stores over the years and I've been greeted with rude faces, long lines, and unfriendly conversations as I grab my essentials. Since day 1, I've never felt like a stranger here. Michael, Joe, and John go out their way to make their customers feel welcome and like part of the family. I RECOMMEND asking one of the guys about their wine selection. They offer a wide variety- many of which I'm unfamiliar with. I found some all-time favorites through their recommendations. I also recommend stopping by their deli. I haven't ordered much from here, but customers I've chatted with have raved about the food. As for me, you can find me munching on the gummies and chips and grabbing kombucha, all located in the back. If you are on your way to Dolores Park and need a little cash, they do have a brand new ATM to the right of the cashier area, by the way. OVERALL a family-filled five stars for this awesome corner spot. Grab an item from the deli, some delicious wine, and have some good conversation to start or end your day. ”
